FOREVER / PVP / DSI
Darkspear Islands
Forever’s new battleground combines territory control with flag delivery. Secure bases give your carrier a destination and your group a plan beyond the middle.

01 / GAME PLAN
How to win
15v15 from level 30: four control points generate points, with more bases increasing the rate. Deliver the central flag to a captured friendly base for bonus points. The first team to 2,000 wins.

Map & orientation
The diagram shows the relationship between four bases and the central flag. A–D are our tactical labels, not official place names or coordinates. Choose a delivery base by ownership and enemy pressure; the in-game map shows the actual island paths.
- Bases A–D
- Control generates continuing points; a friendly node also provides a delivery destination.
- Central flag
- An additional objective. The commitment must leave enough players to defend your bases.
- Delivery route
- Before pickup, decide which friendly base can remain safely reachable.
- Reinforcement connection
- Reinforce early rather than turning back only after a base is lost.
03 / GAME PLAN
From opening to finish
Our suggested opening plan: adapt it to the enemy and your team.
Establish a foothold
Agree who secures bases and who watches the middle before the start. The flag does not replace territory control. Give your future carrier a friendly destination and maintain contact between groups.
Name your defenders
Assign a defender to each held node. Do not let everyone run to the flag after the first capture. Call enemy rotations so reinforcements can move before the attack arrives.
Enter the middle with a purpose
Name a carrier, escort and safe delivery base. If your team no longer owns a node, recovering one comes first. A long flag fight is expensive when your bases are being lost elsewhere.
Coordinate the delivery
The escort clears the agreed return path. A defender confirms that the destination still belongs to you and has support. If the route is cut off, call another friendly base as the destination early.
Redistribute after delivery
Reassess node count and score. Send free players to threatened bases before returning to the middle. The next flag does not automatically justify the same allocation as the previous one.
04 / GAME PLAN
Your role in the team
Node groups & flexible help
Node groups hold space and report pressure. A mobile group helps where a loss would threaten continuing income. Call actual bases or agreed labels; “here” is useless to distant teammates.
Carrier, escort & healer
A carrier should not change route without the team. Escorts and healers must be able to follow. Control dangerous pursuers and preserve the group’s connection instead of splitting the escort into separate duels.
Use the tools of your actual playstyle: control to protect a teammate, healing from a reachable position and damage on a shared target. Forever class changes make rigid class requirements for these jobs inappropriate.
05 / GAME PLAN
Solve common situations
Middle won, bases lost
The flag fight feels successful, but the score is moving against you. Send an organized group to retake a node while protecting the carrier. Without a friendly delivery destination, recovering territory is the immediate task.
A destination is threatened
Example call: “Delivery A unsafe, three enemies; escort toward B, defender confirm.” Get confirmation before changing route. The diagram letters work only if the group agreed on them in advance.
Enemy commits heavily to the flag
Consider a coordinated attack on a lightly defended node. This is a tactical option, not a fixed scoring formula: without verified tick and flag values, no universal claim can be made about how many nodes a flag offsets.
Mistakes that cost objectives
Taking the flag without a delivery node; sending all defenders into the middle; choosing a route only after pickup; importing Eye of the Storm scoring tables without checking. Similar objectives do not establish identical numbers.
06 / GAME PLAN
Queueing & progression
Queue at capital battlemasters or the Barrens camps: Horde at Merchant Coast, Alliance at Northwatch. These also offer quests and reputation vendors. The factions are Darkspear Raiders (Horde) and Theramore Expeditionary Force (Alliance).
Marks of Honor support reputation turn-ins; at Exalted a short questline rewards a faction tabard. Other purchases depend on reputation thresholds. Check the current vendor requirements before planning around a particular item.
Honor and Rank Points are separate parts of Forever progression. Use our general PvP guide for rank unlocks and the reward overview. After each match, also review one learning goal: did you reach the carrier, call help early enough or actually secure the intermediate objective?
