FOREVER / PVP / BATTLEGROUNDS
Four battlegrounds.
Four game plans.
Carry flags, hold bases or push toward the general together. Choose your battleground and learn how to help your team win.

01 / WSG10 VS 10 · LEVEL 10+
Warsong Gulch
Take their flag, protect your carrier and return your own: a coordinated trip home matters more than winning a fight in midfield.
02 / AB15 VS 15 · LEVEL 20+
Arathi Basin
Five bases, concise calls and timely reinforcement: win the resource race by securing captured points and spotting attacks early.
03 / DSI15 VS 15 · LEVEL 30+
Darkspear Islands
Forever’s new battleground combines territory control with flag delivery. Secure bases give your carrier a destination and your group a plan beyond the middle.
04 / AV40 VS 40 · LEVEL 51+
Alterac Valley
40v40, graveyards, towers and two generals. A good advance preserves reinforcement routes and secures objectives before forcing the final fight.
GETTING STARTED
Which mode suits your session?
Warsong Gulch
A smaller team with clear duties: protect carriers, recover flags and coordinate short routes.
Arathi Basin
You enjoy awareness and fast decisions: defenders, calls and timely rotations between nodes.
Darkspear Islands
You want to learn the new Forever battleground: combine territory control with an additional delivery objective.
Alterac Valley
You want a large battle: reinforcement routes, security groups and coordinated fights against players and NPCs.
Queue at an appropriate battlemaster. Your client shows the queues and level brackets available to your character. A database entry for another map does not establish its release; placeholders such as Battle for Blackrock are not listed here as playable battlegrounds.
Progression belongs in your PvP plan.
Forever separates Honor currency from Rank Points for rank progression. Battleground holiday weeks can offer extra progress. Choose a mode whose objectives you want to play rather than assuming Alterac Valley is the only worthwhile source of Honor.
Honor, ranks and rewards explained ↗Scope & sources
As of 8 November 2026. Team sizes and levels come from Forever client data (build 1.60.1.70862). Darkspear Islands uses Blizzard’s Forever announcement. For the three classic maps, Blizzard’s Classic descriptions provide the rules baseline; unpublished Forever-specific values remain open. Tactics and example calls are our recommendations.
