Your profession in Forever
Alchemy supplies mana, elixirs, special potions and new chemical intermediates. Forever’s standard healing-potion line belongs to First Aid; other alchemical recipes can still have healing-related uses.
Build skill step by step
Start with early elixirs
Check learned recipes for minor force and minor arcane power. Silverleaf or Peacebloom plus a vial make small projects. Craft only while the recipe color suits your skill target.
Choose mana supplies and intermediates
Compare learned mana-potion recipes with dyes and acid. Plan new intermediates only when you can obtain their ingredients; their database entry alone is not a farming route.
Supplies for your next session
Use learned intermediate mana recipes and deliberately purchased special recipes. Mender’s Potion buffs healing spells; it does not replace an instant First Aid healing potion.
Obtain advanced recipes first
Check rank, acquisition and current color before your final skill points. Major Mana Potion is a concrete ingredient example, but its yellow/gray values do not establish an unlock above 300.
- Check trainer and rank: learn the profession and the next available rank. Your Professions window, K, shows what your character actually knows.
- Set a small skill target: choose a learned orange or yellow recipe you need yourself or can use as an intermediate. Green is less reliable; gray recipes grant no skill points.
- Craft in small batches: after each batch, check recipe color, supplies and your next useful alternative.
- Buy new recipes with a purpose: check acquisition, learning requirements and materials first. Spending Merchant’s Favor on a recipe does not supply its ingredients.
Stages are editorial work plans. They do not establish a guaranteed 1–300 shopping list: recipe colors, learned recipes and random skill gains determine your actual quantities.

Herbalism supplies many plants; check suitable profession suppliers for vials. Players report Frilled Lichen from herb gathering and Pyrite from Copper Veins; ingredient cards link those observations. Alchemy products also feed Blacksmithing, Tailoring and Engineering.
