Your profession in Forever
Mining supplies ore and stone; smelting produces bars and alloys. Plan gathering requirements separately from processing recipes. New Forever projects include Azerothium, Heavy Thorium and three camp features.
Build skill step by step
Gather and process copper
Start with Copper Veins at skill 1. Keep Rough Stone for other professions and your Lodestone. Smelt needed ore at a forge while the recipe can still grant skill.
Tin, bronze and iron
Tin Veins require 65, Silver 75 and Iron Deposits 125. Bronze uses copper and tin bars: one batch produces two Bronze Bars. Gathering and smelting requirements are different.
Choose metals for actual demand
Gold Veins require 155 and Mithril Deposits 175. Plan ore, stone and bars for specific smithing or engineering projects. Gray smelting recipes cannot replace gathering for further skill gains.
Prepare advanced processing
Truesilver Deposits require 230. Check further nodes in game and obtain new recipes before a large purchase. Heavy Thorium needs a Molten Foundry; an ordinary forge alone is insufficient for that recipe.
- Check trainer and rank: learn the profession and the next available rank. Your Professions window, K, shows what your character actually knows.
- Set a small skill target: choose a learned orange or yellow recipe you need yourself or can use as an intermediate. Green is less reliable; gray recipes grant no skill points.
- Craft in small batches: after each batch, check recipe color, supplies and your next useful alternative.
- Buy new recipes with a purpose: check acquisition, learning requirements and materials first. Spending Merchant’s Favor on a recipe does not supply its ingredients.
Stages are editorial work plans. They do not establish a guaranteed 1–300 shopping list: recipe colors, learned recipes and random skill gains determine your actual quantities.
Materials and sources
Player records document Copper Veins in Elwynn Forest and the Barrens, for example. Individual sightings do not establish a complete farming circuit. Bars come from smelting, coal from suitable vendor stock or trade; the checked records do not yet establish a precise Pitchblende farming source.

Your next project
Example: ten Bronze batches need ten Copper Bars and ten Tin Bars, producing twenty Bronze Bars. Allocate those bars to a chosen recipe rather than buying the same inputs twice as both ore and bars.
Using the evidence
Checked 7 November 2026. Recipe data mainly uses build 1.60.1.70862; individual sightings may come from older Forever builds. Yellow/gray numbers are database difficulty thresholds, not learning requirements. Recipe acquisition and ingredient sourcing are listed separately. Some German names are fan translations; English names remain available for searching.
Sources & context
Profession recipes and ingredients checked against linked Forever game data. Vendor inventories, prices and some learning sources additionally use linked observational reports. Skill plans are editorial guidance; unresolved acquisition is identified beside the recipe. Some German names are fan translations. No independent live purchases or gameplay tests.
