Your profession in Forever
Stone and metal recipes start your supply of weapons, armor and intermediate materials. Forever adds new equipment and ingredients from other professions.
Build skill step by step
Use basic supplies
Use learned stone and copper recipes. Rough Sharpening Stone uses one Rough Stone; Copper Bracers use two bars. Switch according to your current recipe colour.
Build intermediates
Turn Heavy Stone into grinding stones for later recipes. Consider Acolyte’s Gloves as a deliberate gear craft when you own the recipe and can wear mail.
Expand supply chains
Store Solid Grinding Stones for later metalwork. Add currently learned iron and mithril recipes whose colour still allows skill gains.
Advanced projects
Compare Dense Grinding Stones with known thorium recipes. Belt and plate bracers give concrete material examples; the last points require a learned recipe that is still non-gray.
- Check trainer and rank: learn the profession and the next available rank. Your Professions window, K, shows what your character actually knows.
- Set a small skill target: choose a learned orange or yellow recipe you need yourself or can use as an intermediate. Green is less reliable; gray recipes grant no skill points.
- Craft in small batches: after each batch, check recipe color, supplies and your next useful alternative.
- Buy new recipes with a purpose: check acquisition, learning requirements and materials first. Spending Merchant’s Favor on a recipe does not supply its ingredients.
Stages are editorial work plans. They do not establish a guaranteed 1–300 shopping list: recipe colors, learned recipes and random skill gains determine your actual quantities.
Materials and sources
Mining supplies ore, stone and many bars. Skinning provides leather; chemical intermediates such as Sulfuric Acid come from Alchemy. Check the tool line for forge and anvil requirements. Sulfuric Acid uses two Pyrite and one Empty Vial; a player reports finding Pyrite from copper in Elwynn Forest.
Recipes and material planner
These projects show exact ingredients per crafting batch. Change the batch count to scale the materials. One craft does not automatically grant one skill point.

Using the evidence
Checked 7 November 2026. Recipe data mainly uses build 1.60.1.70862; individual sightings may come from older Forever builds. Yellow/gray numbers are database difficulty thresholds, not learning requirements. Recipe acquisition and ingredient sourcing are listed separately. Some German names are fan translations; English names remain available for searching.
