Razorfen Downs combines quilboar with undead enemies and the ascent to Amnennar. Exterior objectives, the gong and Belnistrasz’s event require their own stops; choose between a full quest run and a direct boss circuit in advance.

01 / START

Before you leave

Check high-level completion quests in Undercity or Stormwind’s Cathedral. Look for Myriam and Belnistrasz locally and compare their tasks. Plan mana, disease and magic removal around the abilities your actual party has.

The level range is guidance, not a verified entrance minimum. Routes and tactics are our planning advice; current server mechanics have not been confirmed by our own gameplay tests.

Ragglesnout is historically rare; inclusion does not guarantee a spawn.

Entrance coordinates are Map-table ghost-return references, not surveyed portals.

Boss numbers label list entries, not invented map positions. A minimap overview with overlapping rooms is not automatically a verified floor sequence.

03 / ROUTE

Plan your run

Outer area: check A Host of Evil counters before the portal or the long ascent.
Gong and Tuten’kash: trigger the Classic gong sequence after a resource check. Secure every follow-up enemy; exact current wave counts remain unresolved.
Side events: budget separate time to protect Belnistrasz, then check Plaguemaw and Mordresh. Ragglesnout is historically rare, not a guaranteed spawn.
Ascent: clear Glutton and the spiral toward Amnennar together. Make room before the final boss and check the skull and other quest objectives after winning.

NPC 7355

Tuten'kash

Agree mana breaks and positions before the gong. The reference sequence includes adds; current exact wave counts are unverified.

Tank: Stay with the party after each wave and remain ready for new enemies.
Healer: Manage mana across the whole event rather than treating the first phase as the end.
Damage: Start only on the party’s call and protect any event NPC from additional enemies.

NPC 7356

Plaguemaw the Rotting

As the finale of a reference protection event, this is not a fresh standalone boss pull. Keep protecting the escort NPC and healer.

Tank: Stay with the party after each wave and remain ready for new enemies.
Healer: Manage mana across the whole event rather than treating the first phase as the end.
Damage: Start only on the party’s call and protect any event NPC from additional enemies.

NPC 7357

Mordresh Fire Eye

Control the large enemy area before focusing the boss. Do not move through additional skeletons to dodge visible area spells.

Tank: Gather caster companions with the boss on cleared ground.
Healer: Watch controlled allies and removable debuffs while preserving a healing reserve.
Damage: Rotate interrupts where the spells actually being cast permit it.

NPC 7354

Ragglesnout

Historically rare: treat this as an optional sighting. Protect the healer from uncontrolled companions and only plan interrupts on interruptible casts.

Tank: Gather caster companions with the boss on cleared ground.
Healer: Watch controlled allies and removable debuffs while preserving a healing reserve.
Damage: Rotate interrupts where the spells actually being cast permit it.

NPC 8567

Glutton

Keep reserves for the latter part of the fight. Avoid adding another pack during heavy melee pressure.

Tank: Keep safe ground behind you and save a defensive for damage spikes.
Healer: Top up the tank before likely melee spikes and maintain line of sight through movement.
Damage: Wait for tank threat and avoid activating another pack while repositioning.

NPC 7358

Amnennar the Coldbringer

Leave room at the summit for additional enemies. The reference encounter includes summoned support; establish tank threat on it promptly.

Tank: Pick up adds early so they do not reach the healer.
Healer: Position so newly active enemies do not separate you from the tank.
Damage: Kill the marked target together and use area damage after threat is secure.
